Absolutely not. We do not guarantee any results because the outcomes depend on the effort of each student. We teach high-level methods, statistics, and writing of systematic review and meta-analysis. We provide all the necessary support in conducting the work, including tutoring, statistical help, and even feedback on papers, but completing the research ultimately depends on the student.
The Meta-Analysis Academy is taught by Dr. Rhanderson Cardoso. He is a graduate of the Federal University of Goias. Dr. Cardoso completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Miami, where he also served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Cardoso did his fellowship in cardiology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and earned a Master’s degree in Health Sciences from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He then pursued a subspecialty in cardiac imaging at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, where he was also Chief Fellow. Today, Rhanderson Cardoso is a cardiologist and clinical staff member at Harvard Medical School.
He is also passionate about research and medical education, having held various teaching positions throughout his career. He has more than 80 published articles, over 250 presentations at international conferences, and more than 1,800 citations on Google Scholar. His work has been cited by international guidelines from the European Society of Cardiology, The American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, The American College of Gastroenterology, and many others.
He is the founder of the ECG Academy (Intensivo de ECG in Portuguese), a training program in ECG and cardiology that has trained over 8,000 students, and The Meta-Analysis Academy, which has led to hundreds of publications and/or presentations at national and international conferences by students in recent years.
The Meta-Analysis Academy is not affiliated with Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Johns Hopkins Hospital, or the University of Miami. The opinions expressed here are solely those of Dr. Rhanderson Cardoso and the Meta-Analysis Academy team.

Before starting the 10 modules of The Meta-Analysis Academy, you will complete the Introduction Module. The curriculum of the Introduction Module includes 7 short lessons covering basic concepts of evidence-based medicine and statistics.
The Meta-Analysis Academy then moves into 10 modules where we teach everything from developing an idea to performing the statistical analysis and writing the manuscript. Each module is subdivided into:
The CPTs are held live at 8:00 AM Brasilia time, on Sundays. The sessions are recorded, so if you miss a live session, you can always watch it later.
The classes are designed for anyone interested in publishing, regardless of their level of clinical training or background statistical knowledge. The focus is on healthcare professionals, such as pre-meds, medical students, doctors, nurses, pharmacists, dentists or anyone in the biomedical field.
Due to the course structure, which starts with basic concepts and teaches how to independently publish impactful research, The Meta-Analysis Academy is recommended for students from all backgrounds, ranging from those at the beginning of their careers to experienced researchers, such as PhDs, who are interested in learning systematic reviews and meta-analyses.
You will learn how to conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis from scratch, from the conception of the idea all the way to the statistics, writing and actual publication of the paper.
Yes, a certificate of 50 hours will be provided at the end of the program. To receive it, you need to attend at least 2/3 of the classes and submit 70% or more of the exercises. Attendance will still be counted if you watch the recordings. You do not need to attend the live sessions to receive the certificate.
No. The Meta-Analysis Academy is the exclusive work of Dr. Rhanderson Cardoso and is not affiliated with Brigham and Women’s Hospital or Harvard Medical School. Additionally, the opinions expressed in the course are those of Dr. Rhanderson Cardoso and do not necessarily reflect institutional viewpoints. The content discussed in the program is not medical advice.
Our program is designed to teach you in the most time-effective way. The lectures and CPTs duo, for each module, will help you to master each concept in a very practical way.
The time required to master the concepts taught will vary for each student, but typically range from 3 to 5 hours per week for the 10-week duration of the program.
Most importantly, time is a matter of priority. Our students include medical students, interns, residents, surgeons, and other doctors. They manage long calls, night shifts, study for exams, prepare for USMLE Step 1, and much more while mastering research skills.
The key question is whether having impactful research to advance your professional career is a priority for you? If so, then The Meta-Analysis Academy is for you.
No other research method allows you to achieve so many results in the short time it requires you to master and then perform meta-analyses.

You would benefit greatly if your friends also learned how to write systematic reviews and meta-analyses. If they learn the same method, they are likely to conduct their own research projects and invite you to become a collaborator and co-author on their studies.
You can share the Meta-Analysis Academy waitlist with your friends. Whenever new spots become available in the program, we will contact them.
